OPS is simply OBP + SLG. Example: .380 + .500 = .880.
.700 is around average, .800 is good, .900 is great, 1.000+ is MVP-level.
Easy to compute and widely cited. For more precise analysis, wOBA/xwOBA is preferred since OPS treats OBP and SLG as equally valued.
